Cynthia Galloway

MEd (Counselling Psychology), RP, RYT500

I’m a registered psychotherapist with a master’s degree in counselling psychology and a Certificate in Couple and Family Therapy Studies, along with advanced post-graduate training in couple and sex therapy. I have been certified with the Association of Sex Therapy in Ontario and registered with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist.

My approach is grounded in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) — an integrative model that draws from neuroscience, attachment theory, and arousal regulation to help partners feel safe, connected, and understood.

My work supports couples navigating oncosexual concerns, low desire, orgasm or erection difficulties, sexual pain, and the effects of sexual trauma. My goal is to help people feel more comfortable in their bodies and more open to the full range of sexual and emotional experience — so that sexuality becomes a natural, nourishing part of life and relationship, deepening intimacy, trust, and connection.

Yoga and Mind-Body Practices:

Alongside my clinical work, I’m a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) with over 1000 hours of advanced training, including Foundations in Yoga Therapy from Inner Peace Yoga Therapy School. In my yoga teaching, I draw from the same principles that guide my psychotherapy work — presence, compassion, and curiosity. My classes focus on cultivating awareness, restoring balance, and supporting healing through nervous system regulation and the integration of body, mind and spirit.
