Yoga
Practicing yoga addresses the health of your mind, body, and spirit through a combination of mindfulness meditation, breathing exercises, and physical movement. There are many schools of yoga practice, varying widely in both their level of intensity and areas of focus.
The health benefits of yoga are as varied as its schools of practice. It can improve blood sugar control in diabetics more effectively than walking. It can reduce insomnia and improve symptoms of anxiety and depression in cancer patients within a year of diagnosis. It can reduce the side effects of cancer treatment independent of medication, allow for earlier removal of surgical stitches and drains, and even shorten hospitalization.
Eir Centre offers a variety of structured and drop-in yoga programs for people of all fitness levels and at all stages in their cancer journey. We also have online yoga classes for those unable to attend Eir Centre in person.

This Taoist yoga class is rooted in ancient Taoist principles that view the legs as the foundation of vitality, stability, and longevity. Through slow, mindful movement and breath, we focus on leg-strengthening while also working with energy (qi) to support balance and overall vitality.
Practices emphasize the feet, calves, thighs, and hips, building steady, functional strength without strain and supporting healthy energy flow throughout the whole body. When the legs are strong and grounded, the entire system moves and feels more supported.
Each class concludes with a meditation practice incorporating danjeon breathing and Qi gong meditation, allowing the practice to settle, integrate, and nourish the body’s energy.
Classes are guided by a registered yoga teacher with Level 1 & 2 certifications in Taoist Yoga & Meditation.
Suitable for a wide range of bodies and experience levels.Strong legs. Steady energy. An ancient path to lasting vitality.

Yoga-infused psychotherapy applies the tools of yoga—movement, breathwork, meditation, and guided awareness—to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. It is holistic in nature, recognizing that health isn’t only about the body, but also about how we breathe, think, feel, and connect with life. Grounded in the wisdom of the koshas—the five interconnected layers of body, breath, mind, wisdom, and spirit—this approach supports healing on multiple levels. Through movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, clients can become more embodied, resilient, and connected to themselves..
