I began practicing breathwork over five years ago. From the very beginning, it gave me a sense of calm, clarity, and connection to myself that I hadn’t experienced before. When the time came to transition off my anxiety medication, breathwork became the steady foundation that helped me through. It not only supported me in that journey but also dissolved the lingering triggers that remained afterward.
Having personally lived with PTSD, anxiety disorders, and childhood trauma, I know what it feels like to carry heavy burdens in both the body and mind. Breathwork has been one of the most effective tools in my own healing—helping me move out of survival mode, regulate my nervous system, and reconnect with my true self.
Today, breathwork continues to be my anchor—supporting me in daily life to stay centered, grounded, and peaceful rather than stuck in fight-or-flight. It has become a practice of self-connection and self-trust, allowing me to embrace who I am with presence and compassion.
I believe deeply in the power of breathwork to support transformation. It has the ability to reach beyond the surface and address the roots of our struggles—whether that’s addiction recovery, trauma and emotional healing, PTSD and other conditions, inner child work, nervous system regulation, or the release of generational trauma and baggage carried through families. With each breath, we create space for healing, release, and renewal.
It’s an honour to share this practice at the EIR Healing Centre, holding space for others to experience the same breakthroughs, balance, and sense of inner freedom that breathwork has gifted me.
As a breathwork facilitator at the EIR Centre, my role isn’t about fixing or healing anyone. It’s about holding space so people can tap into their own innate healing potential and feel safe doing it. We start simply: no special experience, no need to share your story. Through gentle guided breathing, the body shifts from constant alert into a state of rest. Offering a pause in a world that rarely allows one. The body loosens, breath deepens, and emotions surface naturally because the body finally feels supported enough to let go. People often tell me its the first time in a long while they've felt truly present in their own bodies.
Breathwork doesn’t require strength or flexibility. It meets you exactly where you are. It’s not about pushing or performing. It’s about remembering. At the EIR Centre, breathwork becomes a quiet act of self-compassion. A reminder that even in the midst of responsibility, uncertainty, or change, you are allowed to soften. You are allowed to slow down. You are allowed to rest. And sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do for yourself — and for those you care for — is simply to breathe.
