In such a noisy world, it may seem odd that adding more “sound” could be good for you.  

But every day, more studies reveal the way vibration and frequency can cultivate emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being.  

Some of humanity’s oldest and most ancient cultures have relied on sound – chanting, drumming, and singing – to support the body’s healing process.  

Now modern physicists have confirmed and discovered that everything is in a state of vibration. Your fridge, your mobile phone, your cat. In India they have long had a saying to describe this fact: “Nada brahman,” which translates to “the world is sound.”

Humans are vibrational beings.  

Your cells, bones, and organs each have their own specific resonant frequency, and these frequencies combine to create your own unique ‘personal resonance or vibratory rate.'

When everything is humming along as usual, you could say you are in harmony. You feel good, at ease, like yourself.  

But as sound expert Jonathan Goldman notes, “when a portion of the body is vibrating out of ease and out of harmony, we call this condition ‘dis-ease.’

Sound therapy is fundamentally about using the various frequencies of sounds, especially vibrational sounds from instruments such as Himalayan singing bowl or gong, and even our own voices, to gently coax our bodies and brains back into equilibrium. They invite your body to return to its unique optimal personal resonance or vibratory rate–or rather, to harmony. 

This is why I am excited to offer sound therapy services at Eir Centre, beginning with certified Peter Hess® Sound Massage.  

During a Sound Massage, I place therapeutic-grade metal bowls on your fully clothed body using a protocol first pioneered by Peter Hess, a German engineer, more than 40 years ago. 

While not well known here in Canada, “Peter Hess” the man has evolved into a highly respected sound healing brand in Europe and elsewhere. It is well-known for its high-quality training and tools including the Himalayan singing bowls I will use during your sound massage.  

Today there are thousands of certified Peter Hess Sound Practitioners like me, trained at more than 22 Peter Hess Academies in 25 countries. Many of them work in healthcare settings like hospitals and clinics like Eir Centre. 

I trust the protocol and my bowls to deliver a therapeutic sound massage unlike any other.
