Psychotherapy

  • I’m a registered psychotherapist, certified psychedelic therapist, and lifelong adventurer at heart. With over a decade of experience in human services and leadership, I bring both professional expertise and a spirit of curiosity to my work at EIR Clinic. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, where we explore challenges together, draw on your strengths, and foster the resilience needed for meaningful, lasting change. We all move through shifting states of mental wellbeing, and I find purpose in helping people steady their path toward greater balance and fulfillment. Outside the therapy room, I recharge through biking, rock climbing, exploring natural places and being a playful dad. If you feel ready to start your own journey, I’d be glad to help you chart a path toward the changes that matter most to you.

Psychotherapy

  • Our lives move along at an astounding rate that flows and ebbs with every new occurrence and interaction. A diagnosis of cancer, for yourself or a loved one, halts that flow and forces us to stop and tend to immediate needs that may often feel overwhelming and unbelievable. You may find yourself feeling scared, angry, sad, isolated and alone with little ability to focus on managing anything other than this tremendous change in your life. This can feel overwhelming and, at times, unmanageable. I’m here to support you, to listen to you, and to care about you during these challenging times.

My goal is to support you, wherever you are in this journey, from a place of compassion and knowledge. Having cared for my own family member during their time with cancer, I have the unique knowledge and experience to help me support you.

I have been providing support for individuals managing life altering conditions for most of my 40-year career. I became a Social Worker and Psychotherapist after my family member illness. During that time, I became aware that there are few supports that care for the whole person and family. I believe individuals need to be supported in all areas of their lives, physical, emotional, spiritual and social. This is the belief at the EIR Centre and it resonates with my personal and professional approach to caring.

I have been a Social Worker and Psychotherapist since 2015. I have provided counselling and support in medical settings for the past 10 years. I believe it is a privilege to support others during challenging and vulnerable times. I would find it an honour to support or your loved one during this time. If you feel I might be able to help, please reach out to me at the EIR Centre.

I use a variety of evidence-based modalities to support others, Narrative therapy, Mindfulness and Attachment based skills, Trauma Stabilization, as well as Person Centered, Positive Psychology, and Strengths based approaches.

CALM Therapy

Erica Beuermann BSW, RSW

  • A cancer diagnosis can change everything. It can shake your identity, overwhelm you with fear and uncertainty, and leave you feeling isolated—even when surrounded by support. I understand this, not only through my work but through personal experience. I know how heavy it can feel.

I’m here to offer a calm, consistent presence as you move through this journey. You don’t have to push down your emotions or go it alone. This is a space where you are allowed to feel everything—grief, anger, confusion, hope. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s coming up and how it’s affecting your sense of self, your relationships, and your outlook.

As a therapist, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment Theory, Brainspotting and Narrative therapy. My approach focuses on understanding your unique cancer journey and working collaboratively to create a therapeutic process to address your specific needs.

You may feel like you have to “soldier on,” but you are still human. You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to be supported. You don’t have to face this alone. I’m here, and we’ll walk this path—together.

  • I am a Master of Social Work student at King’s University College. I entered graduate school later in life after having practised as a Health Law lawyer. I have found my life purpose in social work! I am a lifelong learner, driven by curiosity and connecting with others. I am passionate about holistic cancer healing that optimizes each client’s emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. The EIR Centre is a perfect match for my values! I am honoured to support individuals in managing cancer while living meaningfully. My experiences in crisis response services, palliative care, and homeless shelter counselling have taught me how to provide support to others in challenging circumstances and listen attentively with compassion. After graduation, I hope to work as a medical social worker who supports individuals experiencing life-altering or life-ending illnesses and conditions. Outside of school, I maintain balance by hiking, cycling, practicing yoga, and playing pickleball with my children.

Mr. Sienko holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from Brandon University and a Post-Degree Diploma in Counseling from George Brown College, providing a robust theoretical framework for his practice.

For 35 years, Mr. Sienko has been dedicated to the fields of counseling and group work, guiding individuals and groups through transformative processes of personal and professional development. His expertise extends to the facilitation of non-ordinary states of consciousness, a practice he has cultivated for two decades, which can be invaluable in helping individuals process complex emotions, find inner peace, and reframe their experience during illness. This deep engagement is particularly relevant in supporting individuals facing a cancer diagnosis, where the exploration of inner landscapes can foster resilience, meaning, and a sense of purpose.

Mr. Sienko's approach is further enriched by significant spiritual and therapeutic training. He spent three years at the Transpersonal Therapy Center and has engaged in extensive studies with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. His meditation practice is deeply informed by seven years of study under Zen Roshi Sunyana Graef. Furthermore, he has completed the "Foundations of Mindfulness" Program at the University of Toronto, thereby deepening his understanding and instructional capabilities in mindfulness practices. These skills are particularly beneficial for managing pain, anxiety, and the emotional distress often associated with cancer. Additionally, he is a trained Spiritual Director from Transformational Arts College and has participated in leadership trainings with the Mankind Project, underscoring his commitment to holistic development and community support.

His dedication to community engagement is evident in his long-standing roles; for seven years, he co-organized SWOPS, a monthly initiative focused on integration groups and meetings, which can provide a vital space for individuals with cancer to share experiences and build connections. Notably, he also led a men's support group for two decades, providing a consistent forum for growth and connection. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sienko contributed 13 years to the social work field, specializing in the critical area of domestic abuse, which speaks to his capacity for compassionate support in highly sensitive situations.

Through his comprehensive background as a group facilitator and meditation coach/teacher, Walter Sienko offers a unique and integrated approach to psycho-spiritual well-being specifically tailored for individuals impacted by cancer. His practice is grounded in a vast reservoir of wisdom, maturity, and a profound understanding of human purpose and spiritual essence, empowering individuals to explore their inner landscapes, cultivate resilience, and find greater personal integration during their cancer journey.

Movement and Dance Instructor

Richelle Masse

  • I began practicing breathwork over five years ago. From the very beginning, it gave me a sense of calm, clarity, and connection to myself that I hadn’t experienced before. When the time came to transition off my anxiety medication, breathwork became the steady foundation that helped me through. It not only supported me in that journey but also dissolved the lingering triggers that remained afterward.

Having personally lived with PTSD, anxiety disorders, and childhood trauma, I know what it feels like to carry heavy burdens in both the body and mind. Breathwork has been one of the most effective tools in my own healing—helping me move out of survival mode, regulate my nervous system, and reconnect with my true self.

Today, breathwork continues to be my anchor—supporting me in daily life to stay centred, grounded, and peaceful rather than stuck in fight-or-flight. It has become a practice of self-connection and self-trust, allowing me to embrace who I am with presence and compassion.

I believe deeply in the power of breathwork to support transformation. It has the ability to reach beyond the surface and address the roots of our struggles—whether that’s addiction recovery, trauma and emotional healing, PTSD and other conditions, inner child work, nervous system regulation, or the release of generational trauma and baggage carried through families. With each breath, we create space for healing, release, and renewal.

It’s an honour to share this practice at the EIR Healing Centre, holding space for others to experience the same breakthroughs, balance, and sense of inner freedom that breathwork has gifted me.

Meditation and Somatic Healing

Caroline Nolan

  • The science from several decades of usage of the Peter Hess® sound massage protocol in Germany and elsewhere is why I decided to become a certified Peter Hess® Sound Massage Practitioner. It is one of the most powerful modalities I have personally experienced.

The proven Peter Hess® Protocol works, which is why I love it, and trust it.

My comprehensive, world-class sound massage training, however, is just one step in a larger personal wellness and sound journey that I’ve embarked following bigger careers in journalism and corporate communications. If you are facing a life-threatening diagnosis, a chronic disease, are a survivor, or in recovery of some sort, you may find sound massage and other sound-related modalities supportive as they are tend to induce a deep state of relaxation, which in turn creates more optimal conditions for the body and mind to release stress, repair and work toward returning your whole self to harmony.

Sound massage can also be an excellent addition to existing self-care rituals, creating time to let go, and to rest, restore and renew for wellness optimization.

Since time immemorial, sound has also been an integral practice for the support grief and end-of-life transitions, and if that is your case, I would be happy to meet with you to discuss potential options, or even to collaborate with a trusted practitioner you already work with such as a grief counsellor or death doula to co-create an experience, with them, just for you.

I love creating and holding safe spaces for others on their own healing and wellness journeys and consider this is to be work in the realm of the divine.
