    Benefits of HRT

    Q&A with Dr. Kylea Potvin.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can provide significant relief for many women experiencing the symptoms of perimenopause. HRT works by helping to restore hormonal balance, which may improve sleep quality, stabilize mood, enhance cognitive clarity, reduce vasomotor symptoms, and support overall quality of life.

For some women, HRT may also offer long-term benefits such as supporting bone health and reducing the risk of osteoporosis.

    Pelvic Floor Health

    Info session with Angela Growse.

Pelvic floor health plays an important role in women's well-being, particularly during perimenopause and menopause when hormonal changes can affect the muscles, tissues, and connective structures that support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. As estrogen levels decline, some women may experience symptoms such as urinary urgency or leakage, pelvic pressure, discomfort during intimacy, reduced core stability, and changes in bladder or bowel function.

This educational session will explore the impact of perimenopause on pelvic floor function and provide practical strategies to promote strength, flexibility, and long-term pelvic health through this important life transition.

    Acupuncture

    Info session with Noel Wright.

Acupuncture therapy is an increasingly popular complementary therapy for women seeking support during perimenopause and menopause.

It aims to restore balance within the body by stimulating specific points that may help regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, and support the body's natural healing processes.

Acupuncture can be a valuable part of a holistic perimenopause care plan. It can improve sleep quality, stress management, emotional well-being, and the frequency or intensity of vasomotor symptoms.

This session will explore how acupuncture may help alleviate common perimenopausal symptoms and support overall health and well-being during this important phase of a woman’s life.

  • Sleep & HRT

Join Carol Nisbet for an informative discussion on sleep deprivation and perimenopause, including the role Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) may play in managing these challenging symptoms.

As hormone levels begin to fluctuate and decline during perimenopause, many women experience disrupted sleep, night sweats, hot flashes, mood changes, brain fog, and fatigue that can significantly impact daily functioning and overall well-being.

This talk will explore the emotional and physical effects of chronic sleep disruption during midlife, while also examining evidence-informed strategies, including HRT, to help restore balance, improve sleep quality, and support overall health during the perimenopausal transition.
